Lexi Missimo joins Les Marseillaises
Olympique de Marseille is delighted to announce the loan signing of Lexi Missimo to its women's team, from Dallas Trinity FC.
Born in Grapevine, Texas, the 23-year-old American midfielder took her first steps at Solar Soccer Club, where she completed a large part of her training. Her performances allowed her to quickly stand out among young American talents and to join, in 2020, the University of Texas to continue her development with the Longhorns.
At Texas, Lexi Missimo quickly confirmed her potential and had a particularly impressive college career. Over five seasons, she scored 56 goals and provided 70 assists in 92 appearances, statistics that placed her among the best performers in American college football and earned her several individual honours, including the title of best college player in the country in 2023.
At the end of her college career, Lexi made the step up to professional football in January 2025 by signing with Dallas Trinity FC in the USL Super League. There, she continued her development and gained her first experience of the professional game.
Her journey has also been marked by regular appearances with the United States youth national teams. Called up as early as the U14s, she progressively worked her way up through the various age groups to the U23s, and notably won the CONCACAF U20 Championship in 2022.
An attacking midfielder who is both modern and athletic, Lexi Missimo stands out for her passing quality, her finishing and her ability to play forward. After a first professional experience in the United States, she now chooses to discover Europe with Olympique de Marseille and to continue her progression within Nicolas Chabot's squad.
Welcome to the Marseillaises, Lexi!
