In the match counting for the 21st matchday of the Arkema Première Ligue, the Marseille women's team defeated RC Lens.

The Marseille women's side secure their Arkema Première Ligue survival! Promoted to the top flight this season, they claim a 1-0 victory that guarantees them another year at the highest level of French football.

After a fairly tight first half, the Marseille side make the difference right from the restart thanks to a superb one-two between Jody Brown and Laura Bourgouin. Inside the box, the Jamaican striker finishes with a powerful half-volley into the roof of the net past Blandine Joly (0-1, 53').

In the standings, OM sit ninth with nineteen points. Next fixture on Wednesday 7 May at 5pm, at the Stade de Martigues, against Dijon in the final match of the season.
