Habibou Ouedraogo joins Les Marseillaises
Olympique de Marseille is delighted to announce the signing of Habibou Ouedraogo for its women's team, joining from ASEC Mimosas.
Born on 18 February 2002, the Ivorian international striker began her development at JFC Marcory before joining Danta AC in Burkina Faso in 2021. Two years later, she returned to Côte d'Ivoire with Inter Abidjan, where she won the national Cup, including a brace in the final.
In 2023, at just 21 years old, Habibou Ouedraogo joined ASEC Mimosas, where she quickly established herself as one of the most prolific strikers in the league, winning two Ivorian championship titles. The league's top scorer for three consecutive seasons, she demonstrated remarkable consistency in front of goal and became one of her side's key players, capping the 2025/26 season with 40 goals and the title of best player in the league.
In 2025, her performances reached a new level on the continental stage as she played a key role in ASEC Mimosas' historic run to the final of the CAF Women's Champions League, where she was named best player of the tournament — a distinction followed a few months later by her being appointed Knight of the Ivorian Order of Sports Merit.
Alongside her club career, her journey also took on an international dimension with the Ivorian national team, whose colours she wore for the first time in 2025.
A versatile and athletic striker, Habibou Ouedraogo stands out for her composure in front of goal and her ability to pose a constant threat to opposition defences. Capable of running in behind as well as holding the ball up with her back to play, she brings an additional profile to Nicolas Chabot's attacking options.
