Claire Lavogez joins les Marseillaises
The Olympique de Marseille is delighted to announce the signing of Claire Lavogez for its women's team.
French international Claire Lavogez joins the Marseillaises to strengthen the Olympian squad with her wealth of top-level experience. At 32 years old and with more than 300 appearances in top-flight football across France and abroad, the attacking midfielder brings leadership, technical quality and a proven eye for goal to Marseille.
Developed at FCF Hénin-Beaumont, where she made her debut in France’s top division, Claire Lavogez quickly established herself at the highest level with Montpellier HSC before joining Olympique Lyonnais in 2015. During her three seasons with Lyon, she built an impressive trophy cabinet, winning the UEFA Women's Champions League, the French league title and the Coupe de France twice each. After a brief loan spell at FC Fleury 91, she signed for FC Girondins de Bordeaux in 2018, where she enjoyed four full seasons. The Calais native then took her career abroad, spending two seasons in the NWSL with Kansas City. In the summer of 2024, she embraced a new challenge by joining Real Sociedad in Spain, where she made more than 40 appearances across two full seasons.
Her club performances also earned her a place in the French national team, for which she has collected 35 caps. Wearing the blue jersey, she represented France at major international tournaments, including the FIFA Women's World Cup and the UEFA Women's European Championship, establishing herself as one of the most gifted attacking players of her generation.
A highly technical player, Claire Lavogez is renowned for her vision, creativity and versatility. A true technical leader, she combines excellent finishing ability with the capacity to make the difference both as a goalscorer and a provider.
With her elite-level experience, impressive honours, international pedigree and attacking qualities, Claire Lavogez will bring outstanding talent to the Olympian squad. Her arrival represents a major addition to the Marseillaises as they pursue their ambitions this season.
