Beatriz Fonseca joins the Marseillaises

27-year-old Portuguese international Beatriz Fonseca joins the Marseille women's team. A wide player with an attacking vocation, she strengthens the Olympian squad with her top-level experience and recognised technical quality.

Trained in Portugal, Beatriz Fonseca began her career with Fundação Laura Santos before continuing her development under the colours of Estoril Praia, where she gradually established herself as one of the quickest and most consistent players in her team.

After a brief spell at Apollon Limassol in Cyprus, where she won every domestic trophy, her performances then opened the doors of Sporting Braga in 2022, with whom she confirmed all her qualities by proving decisive both in front of goal and in the build-up play. In the summer of 2024, she joined Sporting Clube de Portugal. At the Lisbon club, she reached a new level, establishing herself as a key figure in the attacking play, winning the Portuguese Super Cup and gaining European competition experience. During the 2024-2025 season, she provided 13 assists, before confirming her consistency the following campaign with 14 more. Her impressive performances earned her first call-ups with the Seleção of Portugal, and "Bea" even took part in Euro 2025.

Primarily operating on the right flank, Beatriz Fonseca is an attacking player capable of filling different roles depending on her team's needs. Equally comfortable as a winger or as a wing-back, she stands out for her great tactical flexibility and her ability to adapt to different systems of play.
