On Wednesday evening, Marseille lost 1–0 to AS Saint-Etienne in Martigues.

On the 12th day of the Arkema Première Ligue, Marseille welcomed ASSE to the Francis-Turcan stadium in Martigues. After a fairly balanced first half in which both teams had their moments, Les Vertes took the lead after the break. Despite a high-intensity second half from Corinne Diacre's players, they were unable to equalise. Marseille even finished the match with ten against eleven after Ninon Blanchard was stretchered off.

OM remain ninth in the table with eleven points. On the next match day, Saturday 17 January at 5pm, OM will travel to FC Fleury 91.
